Military Mobility & NATO Procedures

Moving defense assets requires specific customs exemptions and transit documents.

NATO Form 302

The "Passport" for military goods.

  • Legal Basis: NATO SOFA 1951.
  • Function: Replaces T1 Transit declaration and acts as Duty/VAT exemption proof for cross-border movements of forces.
  • Operations: We manage pre-authentication at designated Customs offices.

DTTI & Licensing

Intra-EU Defense Transfers (Dir. 2009/43/EC).

  • Tracking: Management of the "Documento di Trasferimento Intracomunitario" (Italy).
  • General Licenses: Utilizing AGT/General Transfer Licences to bypass individual authorization for certified receivers.

Civil Aviation: The "Dual Release" Strategy

Customs compliance must align with Airworthiness. A part without a trace is scrap.

We implement the Dual Release protocol for transatlantic stocks:

  • EASA Form 1: EU Authorized Release.
  • FAA 8130-3: US Airworthiness Approval.
Why it matters: Ensuring a component has both checks (Dual Release) allows it to be installed on both Airbus and Boeing fleets, maximizing inventory value and simplifying customs End-Use relief claims.

AOG Response

Aircraft On Ground (AOG) logistics requires 24/7 customs clearance.

Order +1h Pickup +4h Clearance +12h

We utilize specific CPC (Customs Procedure Codes) for emergency clearance.

Duty Suspension Regimes

Regime Application Benefit
Inward Processing (IP) MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) of non-EU engines/parts. Suspension of 100% Import Duty & VAT during repair. Re-export duty-free.
End-Use Relief Import of parts for installation on Civil Aircraft. Reduced to 0% Duty (from 2.7%+) upon proof of final installation.
